Trust, volunteer

the office directly.
The Tasmanian
Conservation Trust Inc (TCT) was established in 1968 to protect
Tasmania's natural values and promote the sustainable use of natural
resources. Its representatives currently sit on over 50 state
and national committees and working groups. The TCT campaigns
widely on issues such as forestry, marine protected areas, fisheries,
fox control, 1080 poisoning of native fauna, dams, freshwater
biodiversity, environmental flows and urban water use.
This non-profit,
non-government organisation has no party political allegiances
and believes in cooperating and communicating with community
groups, industry players, all levels of government and other
stakeholders to achieve the best possible outcome for Tasmania's
environment.
The organisation
received some small grants from government and community funds,
but also relies on membership fees, tax-deductible donations
and, occasionally, bequests, to support its work.
There is
no shortage of problems and opportunities to be addressed, so
please consider becoming a member, making a donation or volunteering
you time.
